Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing environmental projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Additionally, this role involves preparing accurate project estimates, including cost, time, and resources required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and oversee environmental projects, ensuring adherence to project goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to define project scope and objectives.
- Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
- Create strong client relationships and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, schedules, and budgets.
2. Estimating Duties:
- Prepare detailed and accurate project estimates, including costs, materials, labor, and timelines.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to develop precise estimates.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Evaluate risks and uncertainties in project estimates and provide recommendations for mitigating potential issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably within the environmental consulting industry.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, time-management and problem-solving abilities.
- Estimating experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
