Enviro was established in 2010 with Robert Rein, a Licensed Environmental Professional. In 2017, Chelsie Kaptein became President and sole owner of Enviro. With Robert’s experience and Chelsie’s background in business, Enviro has successfully grown into the entity it is today.
Enviro began as a consultation firm, advising on construction and environmental projects. Today, Enviro has grown into a multi-faceted organization with fully licensed staff and an extensive fleet of specialty equipment. Enviro has the team and tools ready to complete projects requiring demolition and construction, abatement, soil boring, dewatering, investigation and remediation. Our team of professionals is fully committed to the safety and success of every project we take on.

Vice President
Mr. Rein is an environmental consultant with over 29 years of experience in environmental compliance, assessments, and remediation for industrial and commercial clients. His work includes environmental assessments, remedial investigations and action plans, site-specific health and safety plans, and industrial waste permit preparation. He also develops environmental audits, waste management plans, and corrective action plans for regulatory agencies.
Mr. Rein has managed projects involving coordination between clients and regulatory bodies, delivered health and safety training, and produced detailed environmental reports. He has assessed over 200 sites in the Northeast and served as Coalition Manager for Connecticut's first Superfund Site, authorized by the EPA. He oversees investigations and maintenance for several Connecticut Transfer Act sites.
His expertise includes property transfer activities, handling leaking underground storage tanks, and redeveloping contaminated land. He designs and implements soil and groundwater remediation systems and assists clients with reimbursement from the State Reimbursement Fund for site investigations and cleanups.

Vice President, EEO Officer, Project Manager
Mr. Michael Kaptein joined our team of experienced environmental consultants in 2016. He specializes in environmental compliance, remedial investigations/design, and asbestos management for various industrial and commercial clients. Mike's project experience includes preparing and implementing site-specific health and safety plans, conducting environmental assessments, and retrieving groundwater, soil, and vapor samples across the state.
Certified as an asbestos supervisor by the state of Connecticut, Mike oversees the company's asbestos division and manages asbestos abatement projects. He also acts as a liaison between industrial clients and regulatory agencies and collaborates closely with Rob Rein, LEP, on environmental site assessments.
Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Western Connecticut State University and is trained in OSHA-30, Hazwoper-40, and confined space protocols. He coordinates various jobs throughout the state and works directly with clients, gaining valuable experience both in the field and with our management team.
